The "Oops" virus is back!

May 16, 2099

Officials have been currently investigating the recent outbreak of the “Oops” virus. Apparently, there have been reports of several cases appearing in the Northern region of Sector 24 (formerly known as the San Francisco Bay Area). This virus has been spreading across the sectors quicker then when the first cases appeared in 2009. Authorities are unwilling to give any comments at this time because they do not want to create a massive panic among the public. However, the truth is that they do not know anything. Officials are still trying to find were the source of this new strand of the virus originated. In past cases, the “Oops” virus went dormant after individuals received several weeks of special treatment. With this new strand, officials are unsure whether previous treatments will be as successful as in the past. The only statements that have been released to the public is to protect yourself by trying to keep a distance from anyone infected with the “Oops” virus because no cure has been found. Symptoms of the virus are: lack of coordination and balance, bad judgment, difficultly following directions, and mispronouncing words or phrases. Symptoms can become even more severe if they are not treated right away.  To make matter worse, officials’ primary focus has been more on the approaching July 17^th event than any recent threats. The Time Fighters and other law officials have been unsuccessful in finding any leads since my last editorial. Spokespeople for both the AGN and Organization X have denied their involvement with the spread of the virus and the imminent July 17^th. I do not know about you, but I still suspect they are hiding something from the general public. Even Disney’s CEO, Walt 3KY, has been having recent negotiations with time travel companies as the Pacific Time Travel Inc., Time Tourist, and the most recent addition, Greenwich Time Travel Ltd. He wants to make sure that some portals are still open for transportation, even though the Time Fighters have suspended all time traveling portals until further notice. No matter what happens with the rapid spread of the “Oops” virus and July 17^th rapidly approaching, I just hope we do not have another Doomsday. I think I will probably renew my time traveling visa just in case. 

Are You Ready for July 17th?

  Speculation has been spreading throughout the Pacific Time Travel Inc. regarding numerous threats of a catastrophe happening on July 17^th. There have been reports stating that it is still uncertain whether it will be another misfortune as the disaster of 2012 or even similar to the Phantom Wars of 2020 between the USE and numerous diabolical ghosts. The precise year of this impending incident is unknown at this time. For the moment, officials are hesitant to give an exact estimate of the amount of damage this may cause. However, communication between tourism corporations and government officials are underway to establish prevention measures for any possible levels of danger. Government officials are looking at anti-governmental organizations, such as Organization X and the AGN (Anti-Global Network) for possible involvement with the approaching event. Also, Time Fighters have been notified to keep a close watch on all active portals for any suspicious occurrences. No matter what the case may be, popular tourism companies as Pacific Time Travel Inc. and Time Tourist are taking precautions to protect travelers as they time travel to various destinations. For those who have scheduled travel plans on the infamous July 17^th, travel companies are currently making accommodations. Travelers may either reschedule their trip for another time or be reimbursed of all expenses. What ever happens on July 17^th, I just hope individuals are prepared for what may come. I know I will be. Will you? 

A Corporate Conspiracy

Recently, one of our investigative reporters used his Press UTE (Universal Travel Express) visa to travel to meet with an inside source from AGN (The Anti-Global Network). The reporter and the name of the source will not be mentioned to protect their identities. The investigative reporter is able to confirm the conspiracy of the recent leaks of information regarding business transactions that have been hidden from the public. There are rumors being spread that Disney Co., the most advanced globopoly in the world, is secretly funding black market developments for time travel. Instead of preventing these transactions from continuing, AGN is using these recent developments to strengthen their anti-government resistance against globalization. There has been speculation that Disney’s CEO Walt 3KY's motive for funding black market developments is to continue to strengthen the company’s control over popular time travel vacation hot spots. Disney wants the public to know that even if the world were to have another epic disaster, as what happened in 2012, they would still prevail at rebuilding the happiest places in the universe.  Hopefully, the Time Fighters will keep a close watch on what else is on Disney’s agenda.

Life in 1990

Since the year 2100 is quickly approaching, I am doing a special edition of editorials to reveal how daily life has progressed over several decades. I recently renewed my time travel license and received my new DATT (Deluxe Adventure Time Travel) watch--as featured in the latest machinima Dark Zone-- to journey to a period when time travel was seen more in what people use to call “movies” than actively done by them personally.  As I traveled to the year 1990, it was amazing to get a first hand view of how daily life was extremely simplistic than what it is now. During this period, many still had a difficult time believing that time travel really existed, even though it had been a couple of years since it was discovered. Official documents reveal that the public was afraid of the then unperfected accessibility. The common belief was that journeying to another period in time would result in damaging their current state of being. Public records show that many could not afford to pay for the expenses and there were no strong regulations enforced by the Time Fighters just yet. Instead, as the new decade began, individuals were preoccupied with new developments in fashion, entertainment, technology, and other common trivialities. Not until visual advertisements began to appear on “television”--a square box with motion pictures-- did people get into debt trying to afford the extravagant costs. The price did not become reasonable until several years later when Doctor Welles stabilizes the Process of Atom Temporal Transference (PATT).
